Lace Up And Join The Rainbow Laces Campaign

The FA is teaming up with Stonewall, the leading UK campaigning charity on LGBT+ rights to support the Rainbow Laces campaign once again.

The FA is teaming up with Stonewall, the leading UK campaigning charity on LGBT+ rights to support the Rainbow Laces campaign once again.

The campaign is a way for everyone involved in sport to show their support for LGBT+ equality and inclusivity. Surrey FA are proud to support the initiative, and would like to invite Surrey leagues to join us in supporting our efforts.

Last season we had amazing support from the Croydon Municipal Sunday Football League, the Guildford and Woking Alliance, and the Surrey Football For All League wear laces for their matches over one weekend, and show their support for LGBT+ equality. We would love to expand on the number of leagues, players and clubs involved!

There are a number of weekends that leagues, clubs and officials are being encouraged to support the campaign by wearing Rainbow Laces for their games, with the official weekends being 17th & 18th, 24th & 25th November and 1st & 2nd December.

As a league, it would be great if one weekend could be nominated where all clubs who want to participate wear their laces (supplied by Surrey FA), and post as much on possible on social media and online about supporting the campaign.

Any leagues who wish to participate can email Tamsyn.Woodman@SurreyFA.com with the number of pairs of laces they want, along with an address to post/ drop them off to.

Equally, if any officials, volunteers or anyone else in the football family also wanted to get involved and show their support, let us know on the above email address so we can get some laces over to you.
