Become Surrey FA's first Volunteer Coordinator 

We're after a Volunteer Coordinator to support our workforce of County Members ensuring effective use and recognition of volunteers.

Surrey FA is looking for Volunteer Coordinator to support our workforce of County Members ensuring effective use and recognition of volunteers across the organisation.   

The successful applicant will have a strong volunteer background with a good understanding of the motivation of volunteers.

The role will requires them to identify the skills, experience, knowledge and interests of our County Members to ensure they are utilised in the most effective way to assist Surrey FA in reaching their vision of Creating Football Opportunities for All.

The role holder will need to have good administration and organisation skills, with the ability to communicate to a diverse range of people. They should have a friendly, approachable and positive manner and are required to work with both staff and County Members.

This is an unpaid voluntary position, but expenses will be reimbursed. There is some administration support from staff.

Volunteers in COACHING play an integral part in supporting and developing COACHING PRACTICES across Surrey.

Surrey FA is dedicated to making sure that coaches are provided with complete support, whether that’s in the early stages of their journey or to support their ongoing development ambitions. 

We offer a variety of opportunities for both experienced and new coaches to engage in, aimed at developing their own skills in the game.

Involvement in the Mentor Programme will provide coaches with access to a range of benefits including:

  • Access to a FA Coach Mentor, supporting you with individual bespoke 1-1 support
  • Face-to-face support on the ground within the environment where you coach
  • Support towards completing your next FA core qualification (e.g. UEFA C Licence or UEFA B Licence)
  • Bespoke coach development events for you to engage with including observations of match days and training sessions
  • Opportunity to connect with other coaches locally across the county

Our FA Coach Mentors have the passion and dedication to help and support coaches. Our mentoring programme also aims to identify and support coaches who have future ambitions to become Coach Mentors and Community Champions. Developing and supporting more mentors across our affiliated club network is a key focus for us locally and we will work with you to help you achieve your goals.

To be eligible for a mentoring programme, you need to meet the following criteria;

  • You’re coaching at a Surrey FA-affiliated club
  • Completed the FA Level 1 in Coaching Football/Introduction in Coaching Football
