'Centre of Referee Excellence' Referees Announced

FA CORE is part of the National Referee Strategy and is a group of referees selected that are deemed to have clear potential to progress in Refereeing. The FA CORE provides a platform to enable, hone and develop this progression. Referees involved in FA CORE at all levels are chosen as they have the skillset of:
• Focus and Commitment
• Enthusiasm to progress
• Off-field attitude
• Professionalism
• Fitness
Congratulations to our prestigious referees who have been selected to join this elite group. The referees selected are as follows:

Matt Simms
FA CORE 2
Jack Oxenham
Stephen Matthews
FA CORE 3
Aaron Goodwin
Daniel Hayes
Harrison Read
Tom Ellsmore
The above referees, along with their counterparts selected from other County FA’s across the country will benefit from a season long programme where the FA will provide them with a trained, motivated and accredited Referee Coach who will be the point of contact throughout their time on FA CORE at that specific tier of the structure. The 5 tiers of the FA CORE programme provide training, education, development and coaching for Referees from level 7 to level 2b.
