Goals Partnership

Surrey FA Signs Exciting Two-Year Partnership with GOALS Sutton, Tolworth, and Wimbledon

Our partnership will support grassroots football across the county.

Surrey FA is thrilled to announce a new multi-year partnership with GOALS, covering their venues in Sutton, Tolworth, and Wimbledon.

This collaboration will see Surrey FA-affiliated clubs and stakeholders benefit from exclusive discounts on pitch hire, as well as priority access to any late availability slots at these top-tier facilities.

The agreement will support grassroots football across the county, providing opportunities for clubs to enjoy high-quality playing environments. It also includes exciting new initiatives, such as women-only sessions, designed to make football more inclusive and accessible for all.

Kirk Ritchie, Head of Marketing and Communications at Surrey FA, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership: "GOALS is a forward-thinking company with BIG plans to bring even more football to the people of Surrey. The introduction of women-only sessions is brilliant, and having three venues where Surrey FA staff can work from, conduct meetings, and carry out checks makes this partnership one we’re finally excited to launch."

This partnership represents another step forward in Surrey FA’s mission to grow and support football at all levels. Keep an eye on our social media channels for further updates and announcements!

Martin Cassidy, National Football Development Officer at GOALS said: “We are delighted to agree a multi-year partnership with Surrey FA. The agreement that will last until late 2026, will be part of our collective drive to grow the game by working together at our three GOALS clubs in Surrey.

"Tolworth, Wimbledon and Sutton will now have all of our leagues affiliated to Surrey FA and we plan for all clubs in Surrey to become referee hubs for Surrey Referees. The concept aims to facilitate training and development at our venues and create a safe and welcoming environment for referees to meet up and socialise after games.

"We will also offer discounts for Surrey FA affiliated teams and work with SFA to significantly increase all participation with a real drive to increase female participation at our clubs.

"Recently, just at our Surrey GOALS clubs, we have spent over £200,000 on improving pitches and facilities at these venues and we will also be installing a brand new full-size ProTurf pitch early in 2025.

"We have created a fantastic roadmap that we believe will be a gamechanger for football in Surrey.”

Josh Chappell, GOALS South East and London Regional Manager for 11 GOALS clubs, including the GOALS Surrey clubs said: “I have worked for GOALS for many years and I have always valued the work The FA and County FA’s do. To now create this forward-thinking partnership and see it formalized is very exciting.

"I work with other County FA’s in my region and I have already seen a huge benefit and positive affect at our clubs from these partnerships.

"It was great to work with Kirk from Surrey FA and see first-hand his and SFA enthusiasm to work with us to grow the game.

"We have invested heavily recently in clubs within my region, improving the function and bar areas, and upgrading the pitch surface and surroundings, I am really looking forward to all Surrey FA participants enjoying our facilities.”
