Surrey FA is excited to announce a collaborative initiative with the Grounds Management Association (GMA) to support the dedicated volunteer groundskeepers who play a crucial role in maintaining our community’s grass football pitches.

We’re one of eight County FAs teaming up to offer a free webinar, designed to provide guidance and practical advice on pitch care during the challenging winter months.

Alongside Surrey FA, this initiative includes London FA, Amateur FA, Berks & Bucks FA, Kent FA, Middlesex FA, Oxfordshire FA, and Sussex FA, all working together to strengthen our grassroots football environment.

The webinar will take place on **Thursday, 28th November, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm** on Microsoft Teams. It will focus on essential winter maintenance practices, with insights on managing pitch usage to keep them in top condition. Dan Milgate, the GMA’s Regional Pitch Advisor for the South East, will lead the session. With his extensive expertise, Dan will share best practices and tips that can help groundskeepers improve the quality and resilience of their pitches.
