Discover My Talent Workshop
Discover My Talent Workshop is returning to Surrey!
Ahead of opening of the player referral window, we welcomed Jon Whittingham, Women’s Talent Technical Coach at The FA for the London & South East Region to Surrey at the end of last season, to give coaches an introduction to the Women’s England Talent Pathway.
This workshop provided an insight into the Future Lioness Characteristics for goalkeepers and outfield players, playing a particularly focus on four core areas of player development – Technical (In possession), Technical (Out of possession), Physical, and Social & Psychological – all of which were discussed and drawn upon through real life experiences throughout the evening.
Don’t worry if you missed the event the first time around, as we’re hosting a second event as part of the Surrey FA Discover My Talent series!
Right now, we need you – coaches and clubs, volunteers, match officials, teachers, and anyone else working with young players born between 2006 and 2010, who see potential to put forward talented players.
The referral window is now open, so now is a great time to join us for this workshop! What’s more, we’ll be adding to what we’ve delivered before to include a practical element for coaches to access – focussing on developing your observation and noticing skills.
You can register here for the next event to find out how you can refer a player for the Women’s England Talent Pathway.
