Meadowbank set for County Cup Final start
The first game at the brand new Meadowbank Football Stadium is set to be the U18 Midweek County Cup Final on 21st March, following a statement by Mole Valley District Council.
The move had initially been planned for February, however, in a statement by the Council, "The final weeks of work have taken a little longer than envisaged and will now be completed by the end of February, with opening re-scheduled for early March."

The Curtain Raiser
The revised schedule for the completion will now mean that Surrey FA's first County Cup Final, the U18 Midweek Floodlit Youth Cup, will be the first game to be played at the ground. The game will take place on Wednesday 21st March with a 7.30pm kick-off.
"Last season’s U18 Midweek Cup was an exceptionally good final," said Bob Dick, Surrey FA Competitions Officer. "It's terrific that this year’s final will be the inaugural fixture for the new Meadowbank Stadium, and I am sure it will be a tremendous occasion for the teams, the match officials, the spectators and everyone involved in the Surrey FA County Cups."
With the semi-finals approaching, both of last year's finalists, Metropolitan Police and Woking, are still in the competition, along with Raynes Park Vale, Camberley Town Youth and Whyteleafe all of whom are vying for a place in this year's final.
Tickets for the game will be just £4 for an Adult and £2 for Concessions (OAP/U16/Student).
