About Surrey Schools FA
The Surrey Schools FA (SSFA) is an extension of the English Schools FA (ESFA) and oversees the development of schools football here in Surrey. Its roles include supporting the organisation and delivery of schools competitions, as well as providing a platform for regional and county representative teams to play fixtures.
By affiliating to the SSFA, schools and their pupils will have access to almost 20 different county competitions including opportunities for boys and girls aged 9-18 years, as well as a chance to represent the county in national tournaments such as the PlayStation Schools Cup and Danone Nations Cup.
The success of the ESFA and SSFA in providing competitive football for pupils has seen many school players go on to sign for professional clubs that include AFC Wimbledon, Fulham, Arsenal and Chelsea. Previous school players include Harvey Elliot (now Liverpool FC) and Tottenham Hotspur/England Youth Team International, Ryan Sessegnon, who won the ESFA PlayStation Schools Cup in 2014 and 2015 with his school Coombe Boys.
